Miniature air-blown optical cable was first created by optical cable company NKF in the Netherlands. Because it greatly improves the efficiency of using pipe holes, it has many commercial applications around the world. In home improvement projects, some areas may require optical cables to cross plazas or roads. In the case where the aerial method is not recommended, if the road is excavated to lay the pipeline, the amount of work will be relatively large. The method of laying the fiber optic cable at shallow depth is very simple. It is enough to use a cutting machine to cut a shallow groove in the road with a width of about 2 cm. , the depth is about 10cm, and the backfill is implemented after placing the optical cable, and the routing connection can be quickly completed.

Advantages of air blown micro optical cable:

1. Compared with the traditional stranded optical cable, the material consumption and processing cost of micro cable with the same number of cores are greatly reduced.

2. The structure size is small, the wire quality is small, the weather resistance is good, and the optical cable can be reused.

3. The bending performance is good, and the micro-optical cable has good lateral pressure resistance under normal working conditions.

4. It is suitable for aerial and pipeline laying, and smaller size reinforced steel wire rope can be used for aerial laying. Existing piping resources can be saved when laying the piping.


Air-blown micro-optical cables are typically used in the following scenarios:

1. Increase the capacity of existing communication channels; by laying micro-pipes in the existing large holes and using micro-optical cables, the existing pipe holes can be divided into several small holes, and the capacity of the pipe holes can be doubled;

2. Solve the terminal access problem; in drain pipes or other similar pipes, lay air-blown micro-pipes and micro-optical cables to solve the terminal access problem, and at the same time provide reserved pipe holes for expansion later.

Common models of air-blown micro-optical cables are:

(1) Type GCYFXTY: non-metallic center brace, ointment-filled, outdoor polyethylene-sheathed micro-optical cable for communication;

(2) Type GCYMXTY: outdoor micro-optic cable with polyethylene sheath filled with a central metal tube for communication;

(3) Type GCYFTY: non-metallic core carrier, loose layer stranded type, outdoor polyethylene sheathed micro-optical cable for communication.
