Fiber news

The capsule will be available via PANGAIA Laboratory, the discovery platform within PANGAIA, which brings cutting-edge technology to lifestyle products and empowers people to wear the future, now. The capsule will keep textile waste out of landfills and make textile circularity an everyday reality by demonstrating that fabrics made from 100% recycled fibers don’t sacrifice look or feel.

PANGAIA and Infinite Fiber Society announce a multi-year development agreement alongside this first version. Infinina™ will be available on the brand’s B2B platform, PANGAIA Science, which brings disruptive textile innovations and patents to the world through essential products and partnerships.

Infinite Fiber Technology
Infinina™ is created from cotton-rich textile waste that is broken down at the molecular level so that the cellulose in the cotton can be captured and reborn as new fibers. Because it’s made of cellulose – a building block of all plants – Infinna™ is biodegradable and keeps biomass circulating. The long-term vision of the technology is that clothes made with it will again be recycled in the same process with other textile waste.

“PANGAIA is constantly on the lookout for technologies that can help us utilize waste streams and Infinna™ is reinventing the way we can recycle and manage textile waste. This first capsule demonstrates that we can create beautiful products made entirely from of recycled fibers. We are entering a new era of groundbreaking innovations in circularity and this launch opens a door to the future of textile recycling.” –Craig SmithResearch and Development Director PANGAIA

“We dream of a future where ‘waste’ is not wasted but seen as the valuable resource that it can be. Pangaia is truly leading the way in exploring circular materials to replace pristine resources. We couldn’t be happier that their customers are the first to experience wearing a shirt made from 100% textile waste that has been cleaned and broken down at the molecular level to give new life as new textile fibers. image of reclaimed textiles as somehow inferior and be confident that this collection will demonstrate just that.” Kirsi TerhoFiber Infinite Key Account Manager
